Pelling is a small hilltop village in the West Sikkim district of India. Pelling is nestled at an altitude of 2150 m (7,200 feet). The city is 10 km from the main office of the district of Geyzing and 131 km from Gangtok. A regular bus service connects the two cities. The place is famous for a skywalk which is one of its kind in India.

Pelling is the most pleasant during the summer months, i.e. between March and May. You should avoid visiting this place in the monsoons due to heavy rainfall and roadblocks.

You can hire a taxi from Siliguri to reach Pelling. Or, if you are willing to come by air, you can land at Gangtok airport from Bagdogra Airport in Siliguri and reach Pelling by hiring a car.

Pemayangste Monastery is one of the most renowned tourist locations in Pelling. It is one of the oldest monasteries of Sikkim. It is a three-storied building and is filled with paintings, statues of Buddhist leaders. The place also has a well-maintained garden. Kanchenjunga Falls, Khecheopalri Lake, Rabdentse Ruins are some of the other renowned locations of Pelling.
